Auden Living has been closely monitoring this ever-changing global situation carefully. We have been following the latest advice from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and other expert authorities to take steps to mitigate the impact and spread of Coronavirus.
As the situation continues to develop, we want to reassure you that above all, our students’ and staff members’ wellbeing and safety are our top priority. We are working tirelessly to ensure that our dedicated on-site teams, as well as our residents, are well informed and equipped to deal with any issues that may occur. FAQs for Current Residents
We understand that you may have many questions, so we are doing all we can to help answers these for you. We have compiled a list of Frequently Asked Questions for residents who are currently living with us.
What Measures Can I Take to Stay Healthy?
Wash hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially when in public places or after coughing, sneezing and/or blowing your nose. You may also use a hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol. Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth as much as possible. Sneeze and/or cough into a tissue and immediately throw the tissue away and wash your hands. Avoid close contact with people who are sick. Practice social distancing, putting space between you and others. Stay home if you are sick, except to seek medical care from a medical professional. If you are sick, wear a facemask. If others are sick, wearing a facemask will not necessarily protect you.
How Is Auden Living Handling COVID-19 At the Property?
We are sanitizing and cleaning our common areas, hallways, amenity rooms and offices daily. We are remaining compliant with state, local, and federal mandates and following the best practices to limit the spread of COVID-19.
How Are You Accommodating Residents Taking Online Classes?
Nearly all of the universities and institutions are moving to some form of online education to deliver their academic curriculum. In all circumstances, it is our goal to ensure that our residents can continue to receive academic instruction, complete their coursework, and continue to be housed in an environment conducive to their academic success. Residents are still provided with free high-speed internet access.
Am I Still Able to Tour?
Yes! We are offering both physical and virtual tours at this time. You can schedule a tour through our website or by calling the leasing office.
What Are You Doing for Residents Due To COVID-19?
We are continuing to follow best practices for the operations of our business and have taken steps to ensure we are following all mandates. We have implemented increased cleaning and maintenance of common areas and amenity spaces. We have temporarily closed fitness centers and yoga studios. We are also offering video chats and phone calls to answer any questions.
Are You Allowing Office Staff to Work from Home?
Yes. The health and wellbeing of our residents and staff is our number one priority. Our communities are implementing reduced work hours with some remote work options to ensure the best possible residential experience during this time.
What Should Residents Do If They Think They Have Been Exposed to The Virus or Are Experiencing COVID-19 Symptoms?
If residents think they have been exposed to COVID-19 and develop flu-like symptoms, we are advising that they immediately contact their healthcare provider and follow their instructions. Please refer to CDC.gov for more information.
Can I Cancel My Lease Due to The Pandemic?
Unfortunately, we will not be cancelling any leases due to COVID-19. However, you do have the option to relet your space to another individual. Please call the leasing office for information on re-letting.
I Have A Current Lease with Auden. Is My Rent Still Due on the 1st Of the Month?
At this time, we are not offering any variances in our rental contracts. Rent remains due on the 1st of each month.
When Will the Office Reopen for Regular Business?
The leasing office is currently open and working regular business hours. Feel free to call or email your leasing office to have all questions answered or to schedule an appointment or tour.
What If I Cannot Pay My Installment?
We know that many of our residents are suffering from job losses, furloughs and reduced hours. We are offering a number of rent flexibility options including payment plans and waived late fees.
